Europe is not only characterised by the predominant languages English, French, German and Spanish, but also by a multitude of other less predominant languages and minority languages.

Identity has many aspects: geography, religion, culture and history. All these aspects are expressed through language. European identity is the sum of all the different European regions, cultures, languages, historical backgrounds and minorities.

However, the educational concepts for European primary schools do not yet sufficiently accommodate this fact. Primalingua’s aim is to sensitise primary school children, primary school teachers and those responsible in the educational sector for new methods of foreign language learning in primary schools.
