The Primalingua project focusses on 8 to 12-year-old pupils as well as primary school teachers. It also aims at institutions that train primary school teachers.

Targets:

• Raising the awareness of primary school pupils with regard to foreign languages in Europe
• Raising awareness as regards minority languages
• Raising awareness as regards the countries and regions of the partner schools, their people, cultures, landscapes and characteristics, similarities and differences
• Encouraging the creative and sensible use of media
• 8 to 12-year-old primary school children experience the language taught, for example English, as a real language of communication.
• Creating a pan-European network of primary schools.
